Submitted by Aimee on Fri, 13/04/2012 - 1:11pm

Hello all -

IF IT IS DRY on Saturday 14th April we will be going ahead with the planned Easter event at 10:30 am. If it is raining we will move it to NEXT Saturday the 21st. All welcome - if you can remember to bring your £1 subs for the 2012 season and give it to Simon A, that would be great!
Mini Easter egg hunt
More wildflower seed planting to celebrate the Jubilee
Seed swap
Plant sale
Cake and tea/coffee
WE NEED:
Cake to sell for funds
Any spare plants you have to sell for funds
Any spare seeds you would be keen to swap
Many thanks! Sorry about the short notice of details, I am still adapting to 3 children after the birth of Felix 3 weeks ago!

Flower Planting Day Sunday 4th December!

Submitted by Aimee on Tue, 29/11/2011 - 10:55am
We are finally going to do some flower planting at Lethlean Lane THIS Sunday 4th December at 10:30 am!
Hayle in Bloom have very kindly helped us out with providing bulbs for outside the gate and will help plant on the day, and Chris Lello will be rotavating the cemetery extension this week. Huge thanks to Margaret Tanner!
We will have some wildflower and grass seeds to put on the cemetery extension, where we want to build up a wildflower meadow to reduce the weeds and encourage insects on the site.
WHAT WE NEED:
People to come and help.
Any wildflower seeds you may have collected and saved to put on the cemetery.
Rakes, to rake in the seeds.
I will make some cakes and bring squash, but any other refreshments would be gratefully received.

Allotment BBQ POSTPONED due to unsettled weather

Submitted by Aimee on Tue, 09/08/2011 - 11:25am

UPDATE: THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT WEEK (18th) BECAUSE OF UNSETTLED WEATHER

There will be an allotment BBQ celebration on Sunday 11th September in the late afternoon - all welcome, please bring some of your produce and your own BBQ / meat.

Over the next few days there will be a plan for the BBQ, but it's pretty much going to be "turn up with things to eat and drink" at aboiut 4pm on Sunday 12th, unless it's raining.

#ff0000;">Please spread the word - I will do some posters etc too.

Please note there will NOT now be a Society meeting on Monday 5th September

Blooming Hayle - Allotment Society Stall on Sunday 26th June

Submitted by Aimee on Mon, 13/06/2011 - 9:34pm

BLOOMING HAYLE

Hayle Allotment Society will be running a stall on King George's Walk on Sunday 26th June (2-5) at the Hayle in Bloom family celebration day.

The idea is to sell allotment produce and cakes to raise money and awareness of the Society, and to support Hayle in Bloom and generally be community-minded.

Please let Aimee know if you can help or donate allotment produce and/or cakes. So far, I have kind offers of potatoes from Sue and Steve and Nigel, bagged salad from Tina and Jane, cakes and produce from Carole and Joanna, and I have mangetout / sugarsnaps and some courgette and parsley plants.

If people could drop stuff off to Aimee's house on the morning (13 Caroline Row) or bring it along on the day, that would be fabulous. I will probably pop up to the allotments Sunday morning too, so you can hand stuff over if you see me.
