Winter thefts at allotments - lock your stuff up

Submitted by Aimee on Mon, 10/12/2012 - 12:35pm

Lethlean Lane has had a series of thefts since autumn - please make sure your possessions are locked up where possible

Denzil has had two wheelbarrows stolen

Alan (#8) has had a plastic greenhouse stolen

Aimee (#11) has had a plastic greenhouse stolen

The thefts have been reported to the police - it is worth doing this in case they are then able to increase patrols past the site.

Please watch out for suspicious activity.

Theft of plants from Allotment 2

Submitted by Aimee on Wed, 20/07/2011 - 9:18am

Sadly someone has been on Allotment 2 and dug up some flowering plants which were coming into bud from the troughs they were being grown in.

It's unbelievable that someone would be so sneaky and criminal for the sake of some plants they could grow themselves if they put the effort in!

Please could everyone try to keep an eye out at the site for people who don't belong there, whilst staying welcoming to visitors! I do hope this doesn't happen again. Sympathy to Jim.
