Came across the book extract below about Cauliflower diversity and wondered if anyone knew anything about Old Cornish Cauliflowers ?

Wildflower meadow on the Cemetery Extension
With the talk about making the cemetery extension a wildflower meadow I noticed this article in the Cornwishman this week http://www.thisiscornwall.co.uk/Time-trim-wildflower-meadow/story-202349... and wondered if we might be able to get some help from them? or is Hayle in Bloom and Hayle Town Council running with this now?

Harvesting - potatoes
Harvested the first of the lovely Red Potatoes kindly shared by Carole called Potato 'Sarpo Mira'.
Despite being stuck under the surprise polytunnel for the last few months (and so probably a bit underwatered) they grew brilliantly. Lovely clean potatoes and make excellent Jacket Potatoes.
Many thanks to Carole for her kind generosity.
Gate day at the allotments
It was interesting to see the gates going up today. Lots of hard work involved to resolve the angles.
Getting started...
So excited to have an allotment - now just have to figure out how best to get started!
Been looking at various advice sites and found this helpful advice for March
Fruit
There is still plenty of time to get your raspberry canes and other fruit plants in the ground ready of an abundant crop in the summer.
