Saturday 21st July all day - ROSE AND CABBAGE ANNUAL SHOW in association with Hayle Allotment Society.
Please enter lots of vegetables for the show, it's much more fun if lots of people get involved and you might get a prize! And the best kept allotment cup will be up for grabs again.
The Rose and Cabbage Society will be selling plants at PHILLACK CHURCH HALL from 10am to 12pm this Saturday, 19th March, in aid of the annual Rose and Cabbage Show.
As many of you know, we are collaborating on the Show with a view to taking it over eventually.
If you have plants you could donate to the plant sale, please bring them between 9am and 10am on Saturday.
If you fancy buying some plants (and there will be lots of good ones!) please come and show support.
Hello all -
Please come and help plant hawthorn bushes along the edge of the graveyard extension this Sunday (25th March) at 10:30 am, in collaboration with Hayle In Bloom.
Hayle Allotment Society AGM will be at 7:30 pm on Sunday 18th March at Phillack Church Hall. The relevant bit of the Constitution is posted below, and we will be deciding on the year's subscription fees and asking for payment for 2012.
I'm hoping to hold a raffle, and I will be bringing a big pile of seeds to swop.
Anything else for the agenda to Simon A please.
1. The Annual General Meeting of the Society shall be held in March upon a date and time to be fixed by the committee for the following purposes:
UPDATE #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Hayle police will be visiting the allotments at 2pm on Sunday, so if you would like advice on security / to show support for the allotments / to encourage the police to keep an eye out for us then please come along for a chat. Ellie the Town Clerk has kindly also been in touch with the local police to request patrols to the site.
ALLOTMENT ATTACKS:
Several allotment sheds and greenhouses have been damaged overnight on 14th February.
Numbers 2,6,7,30,18 and 20 have been attacked with rocks and have damage to shed windows or greenhouses which needs fixing.
I have contacted those people who are members of the Society and therefore have given me their numbers, but if any members have contact details for those people who are not members, could you please let them know?
