Judges for Hayle in Bloom
The judges for Hayle in Bloom will be walking around the allotment Friday 05 July around half past ten, if a few of you can be there working on your plots and to chat it would be nice
Bee Hive Location
Good Morning,
We are looking at placing a Bee Hive at the top of the site by the trees near where Denzil tends to sit. I have talked to the closest plot who have no objections. This would benefit everyone. If I receive no objections we will go ahead with it. As you most likely know as long as you dont harass the bees they wont harass you.
Can you help? We need someone to run a stall at the Hayle Celebration Day 22nd June
#222222; font-family: arial; font-size: small;">As you may know, Joanna and Aimee ran an Allotment Society stall at the Celebration Day on King George's Walk for the last two years selling produce and baked goods which raised quite a bit of money for the Society and awareness of the allotments.

AGM Thursday 4th April 7pm The Old Vestry
Hello all
It's time for the AGM and election of officers. We also need to discuss and vote on a few things in relation to the Council's new contract - eg: allowing bees on site. Please come along to the AGM in the Old Vestry at Phillack Church (small building to the right of the church) at 7 pm on Thursday 4th April.
We will be planning a drink at the Bucket of Blood afterwards.
Please contact Aimee with agenda items and anything you are concerned about in the new contract (see below).
NEW CONTRACT
The clause about banning dogs and the one about needing permission for bushes and shrubs have been removed after discussion.
Seed order 10th February - get your order to Aimee!
- If you are interested, please pick up an order form from Aimee's house.
- Then use the website below to select your products. Keep a copy of your order form.
- Then give Aimee the completed form and a cheque payable to Hayle Allotment Society FOR THE FULL AMOUNT plus £1.50 / £4.99 carriage as applicable, so that the order is sent direct to your address.
Winter thefts at allotments - lock your stuff up
Lethlean Lane has had a series of thefts since autumn - please make sure your possessions are locked up where possible
Denzil has had two wheelbarrows stolen
Alan (#8) has had a plastic greenhouse stolen
Aimee (#11) has had a plastic greenhouse stolen
The thefts have been reported to the police - it is worth doing this in case they are then able to increase patrols past the site.
Please watch out for suspicious activity.
Help available for rotavation
Nigel on plot 10 is available to rotavate your plot with his machine, responsable rate to be arranged. Please contact him on 07895 601978.
